A Youth Volunteer Campaign to Plant 25,000 Fig Trees in Sinjar
Continuing our efforts to create a green and clean environment and to preserve the native fig varieties of Sinjar, we aim to plant 25,000 fig trees by 2024 and distribute them across different areas of Sinjar. The young people participating in this green initiative will determine the distribution mechanism for these trees across the agricultural areas of Mount Sinjar.
This is a volunteer initiative in partnership with the House of Coexistence. Our goal is to plant one million fig, olive, and other fruit trees in various parts of Sinjar by 2030.
We welcome all young volunteers who wish to be part of this dream. We also welcome all official bodies, civil society initiatives, and organizations to participate with us in creating a green Sinjar.
Tomorrow, a new tree-planting campaign will begin in the House of Coexistence garden.
