Over three days, we had the honor of hosting a distinguished delegation of activists and community leaders from across Iraq, visiting to learn more about the Sinjari community. This traveling camp, organized in partnership between the House of Coexistence and Masarat Cultural and Media Development Foundation, aims to foster dialogue, promote diversity, and strengthen connections among Iraqis from different backgrounds.
Participants came from Basra, Nasiriyah, Baghdad, the Nineveh Plains, and Sinjar. The program included visits to key cultural and social landmarks, such as the Tel Azer Martyrs Memorial, Kocho Village, Sinjar Town, the Genocide Memorial, Mount Sinjar, and local religious sites representing the region’s diverse communities, as well as the Mirzo Institute for music. The program also featured interactive sessions, cultural activities, and dialogue circles designed to encourage meaningful exchange and understanding.
