Over the past two days, House of Coexistence (HOC) organized its fifth specialized training focused on enhancing the administrative and leadership capacities of community leaders, mukhtars, and local youth and women leaders in Sinjar.
The program covered key topics, including engagement with state institutions, administrative procedures for mukhtars, their role in judicial oversight, and legal rights and duties in serving their communities. Participants also received practical training in advocacy and community issue resolution.
This initiative was implemented in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Civil Peace Service (CPS) Program, as part of ongoing efforts to empower social and civic actors in Sinjar, strengthen their leadership in local and community issues, and improve coordination with administrative authorities to better serve residents.
