About the Project:

House of Coexistence, in partnership with Hand for Hand, is launching an independent media platform in Sinjar and the Nineveh Plains titled “Helin Voices.” This free platform aims to promote cultural, artistic, intellectual, and social exchange, focusing on community issues, public affairs, and minority voices.

The project emphasizes human rights principles and seeks to empower youth, women, and marginalized groups, contributing to strengthening social cohesion in Sinjar and Nineveh as a whole.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate daily activities of the Helin Voices project (media platform and internet radio).
  • Develop and implement a detailed work plan to achieve project goals and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate between the media team (journalists, editors, technicians) and the administrative team.
  • Maintain continuous communication with local partners, NGOs, and donors.
  • Prepare periodic reports (monthly/quarterly) on progress, challenges, and achievements.
  • Ensure integration of peacebuilding, social cohesion, human rights, and gender equality principles across all project activities.
  • Contribute to developing new ideas for media programs and initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in media, journalism, communications, project management, or a related field, or at least 15 years of experience in media.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in coordination or project management (preferably in media/community sector).
  • Strong planning, time management, and resource management skills.
  • Experience in report writing (Arabic required; English is an asset).
  • Proficiency in computer and office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet applications.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with teams and partners.
  • Commitment to humanitarian values, neutrality, and teamwork.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with NGOs or media institutions.
  • Familiarity with the context of Sinjar and the Nineveh Plains and their social diversity.
  • Experience in monitoring project budgets.
