We were honored today to welcome His Excellency Mr. Hans Sandee, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, and his accompanying delegation to Beit Al-Ta’ayush. During the visit, H.E. met with our team members and a number of young participants from the Sinjar Open Dialogue Platform. He also held a separate meeting with several volunteers from the NP Organization.

The Ambassador toured the garden and visited the memorial monument dedicated to honoring the victims of genocides and recognizing the countries that have acknowledged the Yazidi genocide.

In addition, H.E. visited the Sustainable Solutions Project (Greenhouse Farming Units), which was established to support 30 women returning from displacement. The project was implemented in cooperation with International Organization for Migration and funded by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

H.E. expressed his great appreciation for our voluntary initiative to propagate fig and olive trees as part of our campaign to plant one million fruit-bearing trees over the next ten years.

The visit concluded with H.E. kindly watering the tree he had planted in our garden during his visit last year.
