Today, the House of Coexistence launched its program on sustainable solutions, entitled: “Improving Socio-Economic Integration in the Northern Region through Promoting Sustainable Agriculture for Women.”
This project is supported by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Iraq and a grant from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The program aims to provide livelihoods for thirty women, both returnees and internally displaced persons, by providing them with greenhouses. The House of Coexistence provided the land and water source free of charge, while the donor provided all the necessary equipment, greenhouses, and agricultural supplies, as well as agricultural supervision and training. The project will also assist the beneficiaries in developing marketing and care plans, empowering them to manage their projects independently.
This project aspires to be a pioneering experience in the region for promoting sustainable agriculture.
