It was an honor to host a high-level delegation from the British Embassy, represented by H.E. Mrs. Rosy Cave, Deputy British Ambassador, along with a team from His Majesty’s diplomatic mission to Iraq.
The meeting addressed current challenges and opportunities in Sinjar, focusing on how the international community, and the UK in particular, can support the Yezidi community. Participants discussed key concerns, including administrative absence and political conflicts, stability and security challenges, education, health, youth empowerment, obstacles facing IDPs, development, and humanitarian issues, with particular attention to vulnerable groups such as women, children, and people with disabilities.
