The HerLens 2025 documentary filmmaking workshop was held in Sinjar, implemented by Babylon Film Institute in coordination with House of Coexistence (HOC).
The week-long intensive training aimed to equip young women with essential documentary filmmaking skills, from idea development and scriptwriting to filming and editing, under the guidance of specialized trainers.
This initiative marks an important step in amplifying women’s voices in the local film scene and promoting visual storytelling on issues related to women’s rights, human rights, and social justice in Sinjar.
