As part of a friendly tour conducted by Sheikh Abdullah Hamidi Ajeel Al-Yawar, the Sheikh of the Shammar elders, along with several tribal leaders visiting the offices of some tribal heads in Sinjar, we were honored to welcome Sheikh Abdullah and his accompanying delegation to the House of Coexistence (HoC) this evening.
The Al-Yawar family in particular, and the Shammar tribe in general, have shared strong bonds of brotherhood and good neighborliness with the Yazidis for over a century, bonds that have remained unbroken despite the challenges and the genocide. This includes honorable and outstanding stances in support of the Yazidis, such as those of the late Sheikh Hamidi Daham Al-Jarba.
At the conclusion of his visit, Sheikh Abdullah planted a tree in the HoC garden as a symbol of brotherhood and love among the people of our shared homeland.
