Facilities of HOC

Multifunctional Spaces:

The HOC encompasses various multifunctional rooms and offices designed for capacity-building training and therapeutic sessions. Each space pays tribute to influential figures from Iraq’s diverse components, including remarkable women from Iraqi history, emphasizing the pivotal role played by women throughout the nation’s chronicles.

Collaboration and Conferencing:

The center features three conference rooms accommodating gatherings of stakeholders and social groups, ranging from smaller seminars to larger conferences. An expansive hall caters to social and cultural events, from concerts to theatrical performances, offering an accommodating venue for up to 400 participants.

Empowerment and Education

Amidst the HOC’s offerings are initiatives dedicated to empowering women, supporting youth, and aiding high school students in their exam preparations. The cafeteria, designed with a library for reading, provides a conducive space for learning and reflection.

Green Museum and Memorial:

An inspiring highlight of the HOC is the green museum, a tribute to coexistence and brotherhood among Iraq’s diverse components. Trees, statues, and flowers, named after those who championed peace and development, embody a culture of forgiveness and acceptance, nurturing the seeds of a harmonious society.

Inclusive Publishing House:

In its aspiration to encourage intellectual exchange, the HOC contemplates the establishment of a publishing house. This venture aims to translate significant works about Sinjar and local authors’ contributions, fostering the dissemination of knowledge and local voices.

Garden of Coexistence: A Symbol of Unity

Inclusive Honoring:

The garden’s design resonates with the ethos of unity, paying tribute to figures who have left a lasting impact on various communities. From Ayatollah Ali Al Sistani, embodying peace and coexistence, to Princess Mayan Khatun, an exemplar of women’s leadership, the garden reverberates with the stories of those who shaped the region’s history.

Legacy and Sacrifice:

Each corner of the garden tells a story, honoring individuals like Shaheen, a Yazidi girl who demonstrated courage and selflessness, and Mulla Khalil Mishakhti, a scholar who aided displaced Ezidi survivors. Additionally, the garden pays homage to global figures such as Pope Francis, whose visit to Iraq bore witness to international compassion.

The HOC center is housed within a 1200 sqm fully equipped building, organized over three levels. It comprises seven office rooms (with 12 working desks), three seminar rooms (for 25-50 participants), a convention hall (capable of accommodating 400 participants), a library, a local museum, a media unit room, and a reading cafeteria/kitchen.
