We, as the House of Coexistence, participated today in the first annual festival organized by the Sinjar Cultural Center in the city center of Sinjar, titled “Arab Shamo,” named after an Ezidi writer who authored the first Kurdish novel in Kurmanji in the 1930s.
The festival included a variety of beautiful segments such as poetry, traditional folkloric dances, heritage singing, traditional foods, historical exhibits and antiques, in addition to traditional clothing that reflected the richness and diversity of our culture.
The event was attended by Ezidi Members of Parliament, members of the Provincial Council, representatives of political parties and organizations, security forces, as well as a wide public audience.
We were pleased to take part in this important cultural event, which reflects the spirit of Sinjar and its rich heritage. We hope to continue such initiatives that preserve culture and bring people together in love and shared identity.
