Over the past two days, House of Coexistence (HOC) organized its fifth training workshop on administrative empowerment for community leaders, mukhtars, and youth and women leaders in Sinjar.
The program covered topics such as effective communication with government institutions, administrative procedures related to the role of the mukhtar, legal rights and responsibilities, advocacy skills, and community engagement to strengthen leadership in addressing local issues.
This initiative was organized in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Civil Peace Service (CPS) Program, as part of ongoing efforts to empower social and civil actors in Sinjar and enhance their leadership in community and local matters. The training aims to develop the capacity of tribal, youth, and women leaders to engage effectively with administrative and governmental entities and improve coordination with the community to serve local residents.
Participants highlighted the importance of these workshops in enhancing administrative knowledge, leadership skills, and advocacy efforts, ultimately contributing to improved community service in Sinjar.
