As part of our ongoing efforts to empower social and civil capacities in Sinjar and strengthen their leadership role in serving and advocating for community issues, the House of Coexistence organized a two-day training course and workshop — the third of its kind at HOC.

The program covered how to interact with state institutions, administrative matters related to the mukhtar’s work, the importance of the mukhtar’s role in judicial oversight, and the legal rights and duties of the mukhtar in serving their community. It also included advocacy skills for community issues and other capacity-building topics.

This third session was conducted in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) – Civil Peace Service (CPS) Program.
